June Marie Cooper of Climax Springs, Missouri, daughter of Joseph and Thelma (Moffet) Hanks, was born June 1, 1939 in Linn Creek, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, November 27, 2017 in Lakeside Meadows, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, five months, and twenty-six days.

On January 25, 1956, June was united in marriage to Gerald Cooper, and to this union three children were born.

June was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Hanks; and two sisters, Sandra Sue Hanks, and Rosalie Wilson.

She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Gerald, of the home; her children, Mark Cooper, of Sedalia, Missouri, Rhonda Zacharias, and husband Joe, of Independence, Missouri, and Susan Spicer and husband Harvey, of Fulton, Kansas; her grandchildren, Shawnna Jackson, Jeremy Zacharias, Sarah Zacharias, Amanda Kincheloe and husband Brandon, and Hannah Spicer; six great-grandchildren, a sister, Joyce Donaldson and husband, Don, of Independence, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.

June spent her younger years living in Linn Creek and moved to Iowa at the age of eleven. She raised her family in Independence, Missouri, before moving back to the Lake of the Ozarks area in 1986, to make her home.

June had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a member of Coventry Estates Baptist Church.

In her spare time, June enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, playing cards, fishing and was an avid reader. She truly cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Lake Regional Hospice and can be left at the funeral home on the day of the services or mailed to Allee-Holman-Howe at 15 Clint Ave, Camdenton, MO 65020.
