Michael Jalee Croy

Michael Jalee Croy, youngest child of Martin C. and Ruby L. Warren Croy, was born, May, 25, 1943. He departed this life, Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-three years.

On January 12, 1985 in Centerville, Iowa he was united in marriage to Maryln Kaye Couchman. Together they shared thirty-two years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeffrey Croy; brother Roger Croy, and sister-in-law Barbara Croy.

He is survived by his wife, Maryln Croy of Camdenton, Missouri; his son, John Croy and wife Michelle of Ault, Colorado; his step-daughter, Shelly Baldwin and husband Nick of Mystic, Iowa; his four grandchildren, Parker and Brody Croy and Chad and Chase Baldwin; his brother, David Croy of Des Moines, Iowa; his sister, Gloria Croy of Los Altos, California; and his sister-in-law, Janet Croy of Raytown, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Michael was raised in the Essex and Shenandoah, Iowa area. He graduated from Shenandoah High School. After graduating high school, Michael entered into the United States Navy. He attended George Washington University and Gradwohl Prep., School for Laboratory Technologist in St. Louis, Missouri.

Michael worked at various hospitals throughout Iowa; including the Iowa State Penitentiary in Ft. Madison. He continued his work at the Alaska Native Medical Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. While working in Alaska, he attended classes at the University of Alaska / Anchorage College for Industrial X-Ray. Later he worked on the North Slope at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.
Michael was a member of the CVMA, Goldwing Road Riders, Patriot Guard Riders and the VFW Post 5923 in Camdenton, Missouri.

In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, being on his pontoon boat, riding his Goldwing Motorcycle, hunting, fishing, and hiking. He loved spending time with his family and his grandkids.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandpa, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.

Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 in Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
