Alice Mae Dudley

Alice Mae Dudley, daughter of Lannie and Stella Montgomery Deckard, was born July 19, 1927 in Niangua, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, July 8, 2016 in Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty-eight years, eleven months, and nineteen days. On August 23, 1944, Alice was united in marriage to Calvin Coolidge Dudley, and together they shared nearly sixty-four years of marriage, until Calvin’s passing on March 19, 2008. Alice was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Don and Karl Dudley; two daughters, Joan McMillin and Brenda McDaniel; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Terry, Melissa McMillin, Aaron McMillin, and Cyndra McDaniel; one brother; and five sisters. She is survived by her children: Connie Miller and husband Charles of St. Elizabeth, Missouri, Betty Humphrey and husband Harold, of Eldon, Missouri, Donna Neftzger and husband John, of Linn Creek, Missouri, Dianna Radford and husband Michael, of Licking, Missouri, and Cynthia McLean and husband Daniel, of Albertville, Alabama; twenty-two grandchildren; sixty-great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Wilson, of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Larry Deckard and wife Wanda, of Conway, Missouri, and Bill Deckard and wife Cindy, of Conway, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Alice spent her early years living in the Niangua area. In 1963, Alice and her family moved to Camdenton to make their home. She had spent time working with her husband Calvin, as a custodian in the Camdenton Junior High. She also worked for over twenty-three years as an OB Technician at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Alice had made her profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Church of Christ in Camdenton. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed sewing, working in her flower garden, and cooking many meals for her family and friends. She was a kind and loving person and was always quick to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Spending time with her family was something that she truly cherished. Alice was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
