ALLAN MATTHEW GRUBICH Allan departed this life, Saturday, April 19, 2014. He was born February 7, 1929 in Lyons, Illinois. He moved to Lemont, Illinois as a young man and later moved to Camdenton, Missouri. He and his wife Pat built the Chicken Basket Restaurant in Greenview and ran it for many years. They moved to Mission, Texas where he worked in the oil industry. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. Allan loved animals and fed many stray cats in his yard in Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia and a daughter, December. Survivors include four grandchildren; a daughter, Lynn of Illinois; a sister, Adele Sellers and niece Karen Sellers of Camdenton, Missouri. Allan had many friends at the lake. He also leaves his Mission, Texas friends and neighbors, Miguel, Ya Ya, Ricardo and families. Also remaining behind are his Texas family, Maria, Erica, Carla, Jonathan and Juancarlo. Allan leaves behind a special friend, Abby, who was like a daughter to him. Thanks to his last caregiver, Joanne and to all the caring professionals at Hospice Compassus of Osage Beach. A celebration of life will take place at a later date and his remains will rest in Mistwood Cemetery, Camdenton. Online condolences may be made at www.alleeholmanhowe.com.
