Anita Katherine Pierce, daughter of Joe M. and Margaret K. Cyrus Pierce, was born December 30, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas. She departed this life Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of sixty-years, six months, and three days. She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Michael Pierce; her aunts, Theo Rogers, Inolia Dean, Irene Criner, and Helpa Hurst. Anita is survived by her mother, Margaret Cyrus Pierce, of Camdenton, Missouri; her children, Jennifer Pierce and fiancé, Steven Franklin, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Melissa Bowles, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Jeff Bowles, of Eldon, Missouri; her grandchildren, Makayla Dougherty, Joseph Cole, David Cole, Hunter Bowles, and Logan Bowles; a great-grandchild, Justin Cole; aunts and uncle, Dora Mae Knox, Edna Ann Bonacker, and Loren Cyrus; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Anita was born in Kansas and moved with her family to Camdenton at an early age. She was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1974. Anita had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at New Home Baptist Church, and later transferred her membership to First Baptist Church in Camdenton. In her spare time, Anita enjoyed watching the wildlife and flowers, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Time spent with her children and grandchildren was something she truly cherished. Anita had a smile that was sure to brighten anyone’s day. She never met a stranger and was quick to lend a hand whenever needed. Anita was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, niece, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Funeral services will held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until time of service. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camdenton, Missouri Arrangements are under the care of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
