BASIL K. DEAN US Marine Corp Veteran Basil K. Dean, 75 of Camdenton, Missouri was born October 28, 1935 in Buffalo, Missouri. He passed away, Saturday April 23, 2011 in Capital Region Hospital, Jefferson City, Missouri, after his fight with cancer. Basil, more known as Dean, retired from the Camdenton R3 School District. Dean was an avid outdoors man and a very dedicated fisherman. Rain or shine, Tonka Cove here he would come. Dean was dedicated in serving the community of Camden County and often lending a hand to help the Lamb House of Camdenton. He was truly a wonderful Dad, companion, friend and grandfather. All that has loved him and have had the pleasure of knowing him, will dearly miss him. Dean was preceded in death by his father Frank Dean and mother Cleo Dean of Buffalo, Missouri and one brother Gary Dean. Surviving are his companion, soul mate and fishing buddy, Elizabeth Dulle of Camdenton, Missouri; his two daughters, Kelle Bryant of Texas, along with three of Basil's grandchildren, Lindsey, Evan and Rylie and Kim Harrison and her husband Steve of Rolla, Missouri; two step-daughters, Christy Lively and her husband Floyd along with two of Basil's grandchildren, Cade and Kerigan and Cheryl Blair and her husband Tronnie B. and two of Basil's grandchildren, Kayla and Tronnie Robert all of Camdenton, Missouri; brothers and sisters, Willie and Bobbie Garrett of Florida, Maxine Brown of Springfield, Missouri and Sandra and Butch Rankin of Buffalo, Missouri and also many nieces and nephews. There are no services to be held per Basil's request. In lieu of flowers, please send cash donations to the Camdenton Lamb House, 50 Illinois Street, Camdenton, MO 65020. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
