BENJAMIN "BENNY" THOMPSON Benjamin Zachary Thompson, son of Jeff and Amy Thompson, was born, August 29, 1989 in Columbia, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, December 25, 2008 in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, Missouri at the age of nineteen years, four months and five days. Survivors include his parents, Jeff and Amy Thompson; eleven brothers and sisters, Jake, Emma, Sam, Delton, Melissa, Jade, Kayla, Becca, Ian and Mia Thompson all of the home and Amber Dicarro of Springfield, Missouri; his grandparents, Jeanne Gebhardt and Gael Hutchens both of Camdenton, Missouri; Jerry and Nancy Thompson of Jefferson City, Missouri; two aunts, Kathy Points and husband Dwayne of Gravois Mills, Missouri and Melissa Piccolo and husband Andy of Gainesville, Georgia; three uncles, Kevin Hutchens and Jeff Williams both of Laurie, Missouri and Grant Thompson and wife Becky of Monroe, Louisiana; a nephew, Nathan Points of Gravois Mills, Missouri; six cousin, Jessica Roots of Pekin, Illinois and Nick and Abbe Piccolo both of Gainesville, Georgia and Alex, Michael and Lauren Thompson all of Monroe, Louisiana and other relatives and many friends. Benny was raised in Camdenton and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the class of 2007. He was currently working as an auto detailer in Laurie. In his spare time, he enjoyed the lake, fishing with his brother and dad, cars, four-wheelers and music. He was a quiet kid, however had the knack to make friends easily and was very well known in high school. He had beautiful eyes and a smile that would light up a room. He was funny and enjoyed making people laugh. His heart went out to those who were in need and cared deeply about those around him. Even in death, he showed his compassion for others by donating his organs and tissue; a choice to give life to someone else. Ben was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and cousin and was a caring friend. Although his life was far too brief, he made many wonderful memories for his family and friends to treasure forever. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in New Life Church of the Nazarene on Bear Paw Road (Lake Road 5-84). A visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, in the church. Services and cremation are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home or the church the evening of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
