Bernice Dixon Bernice Dixon, daughter of James Everett and Elsie Mae Boyd Gaston, was born, November 25, 1926 in Eunice, Missouri. She departed this life, Monday, May 27, 2013, in Lakeside Meadows, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-six years, six months and two days. On July 25, 1944 in Fulton County, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Roy Calvin Dixon and to this union one child was born. Together they shared many happy wonderful years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dean Gaston and his wife Betty. Survivors include her son, Roger Dixon and wife Kathy of Camdenton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kes Dixon-Schmidt of Arnold, Missouri and Ryan Dixon and wife Lucy of Brooklyn, New York; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Schmidt, Dylan Schmidt, Kylee Schmidt and Wren Dixon; a sister, Dana Ellis and husband Robert of Osage Beach, Missouri; a brother, Bob Gaston and wife Karen of Eunice, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bernice was raised in the Eunice, Missouri area and after she was married, they made their home in St. Louis. In the early 1980's they retired to Osage Beach, Missouri. Bernice made a profession of faith and was a member of attended Harper Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Elks Lodge #2517 in Osage Beach. She loved the lake, especially boating, swimming and fishing. Most of all, time spent with her family was important to her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 in Union Chapel Cemetery, Eunice, Missouri. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Elks Lodge Honors. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
