BERNICE RUBY NESBITT Bernice Ruby Nesbitt, 100 years old, passed away, Sunday, January 29, 2012 in Lakeside Meadows, Osage Beach, Missouri. She was the second of seven children born September 23, 1911 in Dayton, Iowa to the late Frank and Mabel Peterson. She was married in 1936 to Paul Irving Nesbitt and in 1938 gave birth to her only child, Patricia Lee. She worked at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines as the Medical Record Librarian for over 40 years. Upon retiring in 1977, she moved to be with her daughter and husband, Jerry Johnston in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, where she resided for fourteen years. In 1999, she moved with her family to Camdenton and has enjoyed her membership at Our Savior's Lutheran Church since then. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Johnston and husband Jerry of Camdenton, Missouri; a sister, Lois McPherson of Forsyth, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Johnston and wife Linda of Prescott, Wisconsin, Laura Otto and husband Marshall of River Falls, Wisconsin and Amy Cox and husband David of Elk River, Minnesota; her great grandson, Douglas Cox also of Elk River, Minnesota and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters, Irene Moreland, Maurine Anderson, Lucille Daniels and Dorothy Peterson and a brother, Maurice Peterson. Bernice was a loving mother, grandmother of three grandchildren and proud of her great-grandson. She was always a caring friend and willing to do what she could for others. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012 in Camdenton United Methodist Church, Camdenton, Missouri. The family will receive friends at the church after the service, and a light lunch will be provided. Burial will be at a later date in Minnesota. Memorials are requested to be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or Camdenton United Methodist Church and left at the funeral home or at the church the day of the service.
