Charles was born in St. Louis and was a graduate of North County Technical School in the Class of 1972. He entered into the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country until being honorably discharged in 1979. Following his discharge, Charles went to work as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and served for over thirty years until his retirement at which time he moved to the lake area to be closer to his children. Charles was a man of deep faith and had accepted Christ as his Savior. Charles lived life to the fullest and always looked forward to the annual family camping trips to Cherryville. He was an avid Chiefs, Cardinals, and St. Louis Blues fan, and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on. He loved to spend time with his family, but truly cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
