Obituary for Delane D. Earegood

Delane Dietrich Earegood, daughter of Melvin and Margaret Olson Dietrich, was born, January 3, 1948 in Emporia, Kansas. She departed this life, Thursday, April 25, 2019, in her home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-one years, three months and twenty-two days.

In January, 1990, she was united in marriage to David Wayne Earegood and they shared twenty-nine years together.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Diane Gowdy and Darlene Dietrich.

She is survived by her husband, David Earegood of the home; her two children, Katrina McCormick and husband Chris of Nixa, Missouri and Jordan Harrison of Grand Bend, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Kaiden McCormick, Chloe McCormick, Creed McCormick, Bode Harrison and Opal Harrison.

Delane was born and raised in the Kansas where she had lived most of her life. She had worked as a waitress for several years and a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for Larned State Hospital. Her and David moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where they owned and operated Porter Mill Springs Resort for many years. They also owned and operated Faux My where they did painting, wallpaper and other interior work. She was a woman of many talents.

In her spare time, Delane loved to sew and was a wonderful and talented seamstress.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.

Per Delane’s wishes no services will be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
