DONNA HOLLOWAY Donna Margaret Holloway, daughter of Elmer E. and Opal Blackard McGinty, was born, April 28, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She departed this life, Monday, January 12, 2015, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, eight months and fifteen days. On May 31, 1963 in Wichita, Kansas, she was united in marriage to James Mason Holloway and to this union two children were born. Together they shared fifty-one years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Jim Holloway of Linn Creek, Missouri; a son, Daniel L. Holloway and wife Candace of Waynesville, Missouri; a daughter, Terri Pint and husband Vince of Eldon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Steve Holloway of Houston, Texas, Alex Holloway and wife Jennifer of Minot, North Dakota, Hope Roberts and husband Michael of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Tyler Pint of Vilseck, Germany and Ryan Pint and wife Sarah of Rock Island, Illinois; four great-grandchildren, Alan Holloway of Columbus, Georgia, Summer Holloway of Minot, North Dakota, Hunter Holloway of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jason Roberts of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; a brother, Mike McGinty and wife Donna of Derby, Kansas; two sisters, Cheryl Shaver and husband Ralph of Wichita, Kansas and Pat Mettler and husband David of Lodi, California and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Donna was raised in Wichita, Kansas and met and married her husband there. She had worked as a waitress for a time, but was mostly a housewife and a homemaker. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Camdenton. Donna was baptized into the Catholic Church. In her spare time she enjoyed doing ceramics. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and collected Elvis memorabilia. Most of all, time spent with her family was precious to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
