Erma Adams

Erma Faye Adams, daughter of Raymond Willard and Dorothy Mae Wright Sloan, was born, September 9, 1933 in Eldon, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in Windsor Estates, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years, nine months and two days. On January 8, 1977, she was united in marriage to Donald Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Ellen Meier and Barbara Sue Sloan. Survivors include her husband, Don Adams of the home; two sons, Dwight W. Baker, Jr. and wife Connie of Richland, Missouri and Dennis Baker and wife Denice of Falcon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Stout of Richland, Missouri, Amanda Darling and husband David of Lebanon, Missouri, Shelly Bennett of Buffalo, Missouri, Daniel Baker and Dana Baker and fiance James all of St. Louis, Missouri; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Mae Addison and husband James of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Alfred Sloan of the state of Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Erma lived in various places during her life. After have lived in Colorado for eleven years, she made her home back in Missouri. She had worked as a store manager, but most of all was a homemaker, helpmate to her husband, mother and grandmother. In spare time she enjoyed quilting and had made many beautiful quilts throughout the years. She also enjoyed collecting, especially coins and Avon bottles. She enjoyed flowers and working in her garden. Erma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2008 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery near Richland, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday in the funeral home.
