ETHEL STRAUSBAUGH Ethel Strausbaugh of Camdenton, Missouri, died July 15, 2012 at Villa Ventura Senior Living Community in Kansas City, Missouri. Ethel was born at her home near Wea, Kansas to Henry and Johanna (Schecher) Spielbusch. She lived the last thirty years of her life in the Lake of the Ozarks area. She was happy there, especially when family came to visit. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernie in 1991; her sister, Thelma Bowes and her brother, Joseph Spielbusch. She leaves one child, Danny J. Strausbaugh and his wife Pamela K. Strausbaugh. She will be greatly missed by her three grandchildren, Justin Strausbaugh, Mark Keel and Timothy Keel. Ethel also leaves a legacy of love for several great-grandchildren, Aliya Strausbaugh, Mabry Keel, Annelise Keel, Blaise Keel, Malachi Keel, Liam Keel and Lucy Keel. Ethel is also survived by her brother, Bernard (Isabel) Spielbusch of Drexel, Missouri and her sister-in-law, Jean Spielbusch, Independence, Missouri. A special thank you to Ethel's caregivers: Karen Ebert, Caroline Kiuraka, Claudia Larkin, Shelly Mason, Carolyn Rapp, Sue Strain, Gloria West and to Pamela's brother, Jim Johnson. Cremation has been held. The family invites you to join them for visitation from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, July 18 with storytelling and sharing at 8:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Rosary. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday morning, July 19, with a luncheon for all in the Parish Hall. Both events will take place at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 606 Elm, Louisburg, Kansas. Burial of the Ashes will follow at a later date in Camdenton, Missouri. Ethel was a model of living simply, generously and optimistically. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to Cross Roads Hospice of Kansas City.
