Eula Hill

EULA MAE HILL Eula Mae Hill, daughter of Noah and Martha E. Hurt Bohanon, was born, February 15, 1919 in Marshfield, Missouri. She departed this life, Wednesday, November 12, 2009, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety years, eight months and twenty-eight days. On December 19, 1942 in Camdenton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Cecil J. Hill. Together they shared forty-eight years until his passing on September 6, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Orville Bohanon, Allen Bohanon, Morris Davis and David "Duck" Eaton and three sisters, Mamie Davis, Thelma Eaton and Rosie Eaton. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Hanks of Camdenton, Missouri; her son, Ralph A. Webb and wife Libby of Jefferson City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Danny Hanks and wife Jo Sue of Springfield, Missouri; Larry Hanks of Kansas City, Missouri, Vicky Jackson of Camdenton, Missouri, Chip Webb and wife Steph of St. Louis, Missouri, Steven Webb and wife Deb of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Marc Webb and wife Becky of Jefferson City, Missouri; eighteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Capps of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. As a young child, Eula's family moved from Marshfield to Camdenton riding in a covered wagon and sleeping in a tent as a home when they first arrived. She remained in the area for the rest of her life. Early in life, she worked as a housekeeper and later worked for Blair Cedar where she retired from working as a stamper and packer. Eula made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Camdenton for over fifty-five years. She loved her church and was one of three Church Mother's. She was also active in the women's ministry group. In her spare time she enjoyed miniature golf, having played up until she was eighty-eight years old. She enjoyed gathering with family and friends and playing the board game "Sorry". She was fortunate to travel to various locations with her daughter and son-in-law. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Eula was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2009 in First Assembly of God Church, Camdenton. Burial will follow in Myetta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association and left at the funeral home or the church the day of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
