FRANK WERNER Frank Werner Jr., son of Frank and Norma Bendick Werner, was born, March 6, 1921 in St. Louis, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, November 11, 2010, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-nine years, eight months and five days. On June 6, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri he was united in marriage to Marie Ella Eisenreich and to this union one son was born. Together they shared fifty years until her passing on December 16, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parent; a brother, Charles Werner and a grandson, Mark Werner. Survivors include his son, Don Werner of Camdenton, Missouri; a granddaughter, Julie Rambo and husband David of Osage Beach, Missouri; a grandson, Ryan Werner of Osage Beach, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Blake, Haley and Avery Rambo and a host of other relatives and many friends. Frank was raised in St. Louis and attended school there. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. He served in Italy and North Africa, close to the front lines and was awarded four Bronze Stars. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to St. Louis where he worked for Bendick Coal Materials Company. He later did insurance sales and then construction. He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1961. He owned and operated Cedar Green Resort and later partnered in Werner Construction and. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home and was a member of the Ozark Winnies motor home club. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, fishing and the outdoors. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Laughlin Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
