JC was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy Pierce King; three brothers, Charlie, Johnny, and Edward Dean Byler; and a granddaughter, Faith Marie McKinnon.

He is survived by his wife Vera, of the home; his children, Bryan Byler, of Montreal, Missouri, Jason Byler, of Elm Springs, Arkansas, William McKinnon and wife Katie, of Camdenton, Missouri, Matthew McKinnon of Camdenton, Missouri, Michael George of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Doug Edens of Rogers, Arkansas; a brother Larry Byler and wife Joyce, of Linn Creek, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; two very dear friends, Leon Burns and Wilbert Goldsberry; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In his spare time, JC enjoyed horseback riding, bull riding, attending singings at Larry’s house, and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved to go fishing, and his boys were able to take him on one last trip just a week before he passed.

JC was a good man and was loved by many. He has left behind many wonderful memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019 in Linn Creek Baptist Church, Linn Creek, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery, Montreal, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
