Janet Sue Grigsby, daughter of Ernest Elmer and Mary Ruth Mackey Grigsby, was born July 23, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life, June 16, 2017, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy one years, ten months and twenty four days. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sisters, Jeanne Gebhardt of Camdenton, Missouri and Brenda Eaton of Kansas City, Kansas; her niece Amy and husband Jeff Thompson of Camdenton, Missouri; her nephews Brian Eaton and wife Beth of Tonganoxie, Kansas, Erick Eaton and fiancé Kyle Mackey of Lenexa, Kansas and Kevin Hutchens and partner Jeff Williams of Aspen, Colorado. She also leaves behind a host of great-nieces, nephews, other relatives many friends and her beloved fish Skip. Jan was raised in Kansas City, KS. She moved to Olathe, Kansas and had spent the last 15 years there. In her spare time Jan loved spending time at Lifestyle Workshop and was employee of the month several times. She loved her cheeseburgers and chocolate cakes. She was an avid Tic Tac Toe player. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Jan was very kind, witty, funny and never complained about anything. . There wasn’t a day she didn’t have a smile on her face. Her favorite saying was “Hello, Gorgeous!!!” She was a loving sister, aunt and a caring friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
