JOHN H. MORRIS John Hugh Morris, Sr., son of Lester Eugene and Lucy Mildred Hine Morris, was born, June 3, 1944 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in his home, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty-four years, eleven months and nine days. On February 19, 1982 in Jefferson City, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Ann LaDonn Graham and together they shared the past twenty-seven years. He was preceded in death by his parents and three uncles. Survivors include his loving wife, Ann Morris of the home; a son, John Morris, Jr. of Joplin, Missouri; a step-daughter, Dawn King of Bowie, Texas; a step-son, Shawn King of St. Augustine, Florida; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Gene Morris and wife Alma of Camdenton, Missouri; three nephews, Craig Morris and wife Nichole of Smithville, Missouri and Rich Morris and Glenn Morris both of Linn Creek, Missouri and two special friends, Debbie Burns and Suzanne Nations. John was raised in Chicago and moved to the lake area while a teenager. He worked for sixteen years in management for Serva-Mation and later six years in management for Marathon Oil. He later went on to own three different restaurants and a laundry. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
