Judith Kay DeGuire, daughter of Raymond Leslie and Bertha Esther Hedrick Leap, was born Saturday, January 7, 1961 in Camdenton, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, July 6, 2008 in her home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of forty-seven years, five months, and twenty-nine days. Judy was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her sons, Justin DeGuire and his wife Jerilie, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Jeremiah DeGuire and his wife Kristy, of St. Louis, Missouri; two grandchildren, Justin and Jaimie DeGuire of Camdenton, Missouri; her mother, Bertha Leap, of Camdenton, Missouri; three sisters, Joyce Marshall and her husband Bob, Janet Hale, and Joann Leap, all of Camdenton, Missouri; three brothers, Jerry Leap and his wife Brenda of Tunas, Missouri, James Leap of Climax Springs, Missouri, and Jeffrey Leap and his wife Sandra of Camdenton; several aunts and uncles, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Judy lived in Camdenton all of her life and attended Camdenton High School. She had spent time working at Farris' Fruit Market and also at Tan-Tar-A Resort where she was Associate of the Year in 1994. Judy had professed her in faith in Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #2322 in Camdenton. Judy loved her family and enjoyed planning family events. She was the life of the party and you never saw her without a smile on her face. Judy was a kind and caring woman, always eager to help anyone who needed it. Judy enjoyed spending her spare time working in her flower garden and spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. She also liked to go rafting, canoeing and fishing whenever possible. Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and may be left at the funeral home.
