KAREN BROWN Karen Deanne Brown, daughter of Gerald Dean “Jerry” and Carolyn Sue Jones Brown, was born, July 20, 1962 in Denton, Texas. She departed this life, Thursday, January 8, 2015, in her home, Montreal, Missouri at the age of fifty-two years, five months and nineteen days. On June 5, 1992 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Jack Richard Brown. They have shared the past twenty-two years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leonard and Gladys Brown and maternal grandfather, Archie Jones. Survivors include husband, Jack Brown of the home; two sons, Joseph Richard Brown of Montreal, Missouri and Clayton Brown and wife Cindy of Phillipsburg, Montana; three grandchildren, Kayla, Kevin and Mason Brown; her parents, Jerry and Carolyn Brown of Montreal, Missouri; siblings, Rick Brown and wife Sandy of Richland, Missouri, Randy Brown of Montreal, Missouri, Amy Erickson and husband Eric of Camdenton, Missouri and Chris Brown of Montreal, Missouri; her maternal grandmother, Fern Jones of Montreal, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Toni Brown, Tyler Brown and wife Vanessa, Taylor, Brooke and Gage Erickson; great-nieces and nephews, Katie Mino, Owen and Ava Brown and a host of other relatives and many friends. Karen was raised in Montreal, Missouri and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the class of 1980. She worked as a bookkeeper at various businesses at the lake. Karen made a profession of faith and was a member of Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church, Montreal. She loved babies and adored her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She loved to make the children baby quilts. Holiday’s were important to her and she enjoyed baking cookies and spending time with her family. She took several vacations to Costa Rica and made many special memories there. Karen was a special and unique person. The memories she created for her family and friends will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the family and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
