MARTY HANCE Martha Jean Hance, daughter of Charles Henry McClellan and Lela Black McClellan, was born on January 1, 1928, in Gideon, Missouri. She departed this life on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at her daughter and son-in-law's home, in St. Charles, Missouri, where she resided, at the age of eighty-six years. On January 26, 1946, in St. John, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Raymond Leroy Hance, and to this union two sons and three daughters were born. Together they shared fifty-nine years of marriage, until his passing on June 13, 2005. She was also proceeded in death by her parents and eleven siblings. Martha is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Linda Hance, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, Bruce and Nancy Hance, of Wright City, Missouri; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jerry Kuhlman, Sandra Zumwalt all of St. Charles, Missouri, and Dianne and Kevin Stouffer, of Springfield, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betty Pence, of Harvester, Missouri, a sister-in-law, Orvalee McClellan of Arizona; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in the Wellston and St. John communities. After her marriage, she resided with her parents while her husband served his country faithfully in the Unites States Navy during World War II. After his honorable discharge in December 1948, they made their home in St. John, Missouri. In 1950, she and Raymond moved to Berkeley, Missouri where they lovingly raised their family. Martha held various jobs outside of the home and thrived on helping others. After retiring, they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1986, and enjoyed life on the Lake. While living at the Lake, Martha attended First Assembly of God Church in Camdenton. Martha moved to St. Charles, Missouri after Raymond's passing in 2005. Martha faithfully attended services at Restoration Church in St. Peters, Missouri, until her illness kept her home. She loved attending church on Sundays and Wednesdays to share worship and fellowship with her church family. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Martha never met a stranger. She loved talking to everyone and was known for her sweet spirit and love of the Lord. Martha was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister-in-law, and aunt, as well as a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her many accomplishments and will treasure the memories she left for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
