PATRICIA J. KENNEBEC Patricia Joy Kennebec, daughter of Frederick Manning and Mary Louise Elder Manning, was born, October 1, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life, Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, six months and nine days. On September 1, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, she was united in marriage to John Edward Kennebec and to this union six children were born. Together they shared fifty-five years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William Manning, James Manning and Robert Manning and a sister, Marion Gilbertsen. Survivors include her husband, John E. Kennebec of the home, six children, Matthew J. Kennebec, Ruth Miller and husband Dale and Michael Kennebec and wife Vicky all of Fairbanks, Alaska and Joseph A. Kennebec, Patrick J. Kennebec and Amy C. Kennebec all of Redmond, Washington; a sister, Marge Rahn of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Patricia was raised in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from high school there. After her marriage to John, the family lived in various places throughout the world while he served in the United States Army. They eventually settled in Fairbanks, Alaska where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Department of Probation and Parole. They retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1991. Patricia was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and flowers. She volunteered many hours for charitable organizations. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2012 in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Monday in the church. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday in Fort Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the LAMB House and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
