Patricia “Pat” Joan McGuire, daughter of Harley Greenville and Marjorie Nadine Seevers Dodson, was born March 16, 1950 in Independence, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of sixty-six years, six months, and twenty-seven days. On August 15, 1968, Pat was united in marriage to Glenn McGuire, and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Zachary and Clayton Lowtharp; and two brothers, Darrell and Dwayne Dodson. Pat is survived by her husband, Glenn, of the home; her children, Tabetha Lowtharp and husband Freddie, and Tim McGuire and wife Erin, all of Camdenton, Missouri; her grandchildren, Ashley Wackerman and husband Jake, MacKenzie McGuire, Jordan Stanton, Tyler Lowtharp, and Kylee McGuire; a sister, Shirley Lowrey and husband Leslie, of Kansas City, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Pat was born in Independence and spent her younger years living in the Blue Springs area. She moved to the Camdenton area in 1962 and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1968. She met her husband Glenn on a blind date and together they have shared forty-eight years of marriage. Pat had accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the age of seven in the Lobb Presbyterian Church in Blue Springs, Missouri. She was a member of Mt. Horeb Church in Decaturville where she served as church secretary for many years, and remained active in the church until her passing. Pat spent her years as a devoted homemaker to her family and cherished the time spent with them. She was proud of her family, especially her grandchildren. She took great joy in being a “professional” mom and grandma. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and doing other craft work, as well as baking treats for all those she loved. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations to the family can be left at the funeral home on the day of the services.
