PHYLLIS DEARDEUFF Phyllis Madine Deardeuff, the fourth child out of thirteen born to John and Odessa Schoonover Hix, was born, January 5, 1932 in Adair Township, Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, September 21, 2013, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years, eight months and sixteen days. On July 16, 1951, she was united in marriage to Leverne Desshue Deardeuff and to this union three children were born. Together they shared forty-four years of marriage before his passing on December 31, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Beverly Ann Deardeuff and three brothers, Dwight, Keith and Dale Hix. Survivors include her children, Donna Deardeuff and Larry Deardueff both of Roach, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Deardeuff of Camdenton, Missouri; two grandsons, Patrick, Zachary; one granddaughter, Morgan; a great-grandson, Michael; a step-granddaughter, April; four brothers, Ronnie, Stanley, Von and Hoyt Hix; five sisters, Shirley Reed, Virgie Harms, Patsy Cox, Kay Cox and Marilyn White and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Phyllis was raised in Camden County. She worked various jobs in various places, before settling in the Macks Creek area. She worked in several factories including Modine in Camdenton. She was a life member of the Golden Wives Club. In her spare time she enjoyed, watching television and sewing. In her younger years, she loved being outdoors and fishing. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her and we take comfort in knowing her memories will linger on in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macks Creek Cemetery, Macks Creek. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
