ROBERT MARTIN Robert Michael Martin, son of Robert Glen Martin and Mary Coppes Martin, was born, November 8, 1956 in Sandwich, Illinois. He departed this life, Sunday, February 20, 2011, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty-four years, three months and twelve days. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Martin and Cindy Holliday and two nieces, Lisa Todd and Julie Schulz. Survivors include his children, Jessica Martin, Jayson Martin and Robert Martin all of Camdenton, Missouri and Michael Mayer, Jeffrey Mayer, Brandi Mayer and Amanda Mayer all of Macks Creek, Missouri; one grandson, Christian Michael Martin; his father, Glen Martin and wife Janice; his mother, Mary Martin; two brothers, David Martin and Jeff Martin; four sisters, Terry Cuttsinger, Glenna Martin, Joey Lynn Goldman and Diana Metcalf all of Illinois and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves many dear friends at Econo Lift. Robert was raised in Plano, Illinois and owned a mechanic shop there. He moved to Camdenton in 1994, where he worked for many years as a welder and shop foreman for Econo Lift. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking out. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandson. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A memorial visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to a fund established to assist the Martin children and left at the funeral home or mailed to Kristina Dougherty, 380 Bumper Hill Road, Camdenton, MO 65020. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
