ROBERT JOHN WILSON Robert John Wilson, 67, of Osage Beach, MO, died of a massive stroke while on a skiing vacation in Salt Lake City, UT, on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 9:30 p.m. He was a graduate of the Missouri University of Science & Technology (formerly MSM-UMR) and of Northern Illinois University. He was born in Farmington, IL, on March 30, 1940. He was married to Julia Kaufman Wilson on June 2, 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents John Wilson and Mary Lenzi Wilson and by an infant brother, Roger, of Farmington, Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Julia, Osage Beach, MO, one brother, Dyle Wilson of Trenton, MO, two daughters, Annette Marie Wilson (Mrs. Phil) Hintz of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kathie Wilson (Mrs. Paulo) Sgiers of Oswego, IL. Other survivors include his four grandchildren Julia and Elizabeth Sgiers, of Oswego, IL and Conrad and Ian Hintz of Colorado Springs, CO. He was a retired Electrical Engineer, having worked for General Motors, International Harvester, Viskase and Union Carbide Corporation. He was a member of the Oswego School Board for 10 years. His hobbies included air chairing, water skiing, snow skiing and scuba diving. In his retirement he was an Adjunct Professor at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He was a Registered Professional Engineer and a member of the Academy of Electrical and Computer Engineers. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Medinah Temple, Chicago, the Abou Ben Adhem Temple, Springfield, MO and former Raja of the Lake of the Ozarks Shrine Club. He was a member of Lake Presbyterian Church, Osage Beach, MO. A memorial service will be held at Lake Presbyterian Church, 5716 Highway 54, Osage Beach, MO on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert and Dyle Wilson Scholarship, or the Student Design and Experiential Center, at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO or to the Lake of the Ozarks Shrine Club, Osage Beach, MO.
