Roman P. Steiner

Roman Paul Joseph Steiner, son of Leopold and Herta Liebe Steiner was born, September 29, 1926 in Berlin, Germany. He departed this life, May 13, 2022, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-five years, seven months and fourteen days. Roman was united in marriage to the love of his life Irma until her passing in 1993. To this union four children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Irma, and son, Frank Steiner. He is survived by two sons, Mark & Debi Steiner, Hardy & Isabel Steiner; a daughter, Hannelore & Chris Chamberlain; a brother, Helmut Steiner; two grandsons, Chris Diorio, Brett Steiner; five granddaughters, Kerstin Fisk, Karissa Byler, Courtney Steiner, Samara Ebanks, and Catherine Papanponis; and ten great-grandchildren. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Roman was raised in Berlin, Germany where he attended and completed his schooling before entering the German Army and serving in World War II. After the war, Roman became a certified tailor, joining the tailor’s union and following in his parent’s footsteps. Roman met his wife Irma at a young age and they started their family in Berlin where they had their two eldest children, Hannah and Hardy. Roman and his family relocated to Canada where he and Irma had their two youngest children, Frank and Mark, and he worked for the Fuller Brush Company. In 1970 Roman came to visit his brother Helmut in Missouri and fell in love with the lake area. A short time later he and his family moved to Holts Summit and eventually to the Lake of the Ozarks where he remained until his passing. As a young man Roman enjoyed snow skiing, playing soccer, as well as boating. He continued his love of boating for many years while living at the lake. Roman was a loving and caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Roman R.
