RON SCHULTZ Ronald Francis Schultz, son of Donald Francis "Dick" and Arlene Frances Swenson Schultz, was born, June 12, 1938 in Cass County, Minnesota. He departed this life, Tuesday, May 20, 2014, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years, eleven months and eight days. On April 29, 1977 in Osage Beach, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Alice Sue Dwiggins. Together they shared thirty-seven years of marriage He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-daughter, Kerry Smythe and a sister-in-law, Betty Schultz. Survivors include his wife, Alice Schultz of the home; three children, Mark Schultz of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Shelly Hobson of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Alexandra Assiff and husband Mark of Denver, Colorado; two step-sons, Patrick Powers and wife Lisa of Mesquite, Texas and Tom Powers and wife Melanie of Camdenton, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Schultz and wife Jean of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Dennis Schultz of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ron was raised in Livermore, Iowa and was a graduate of Livermore High School in the class of 1956. He worked at Gunders Manufacturing in Humboldt, Iowa before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1972. He worked on the convention sales team at Tan-Tar-A Resort. For fifteen years, he was the Furniture Factory Manager at JCCC Maximum Security Prison in Jefferson City. Ron was a member of Livermore United Methodist Church and attended St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was a member of the Osage Rock and Mineral Club. He was past president of the SPEBSQSA Barber Shop group, Algona Chapter, where he was named singer of the year. In his spare time, he enjoyed music, history and travel. He was a Rock Hound and enjoyed rocks and minerals and was a master wood craftsman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 in St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Memorial donations may be made to Nigerian Water Well Fund and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
