Sheilah Joan Zuroweste, daughter of John W. Jennings and JoAnn Burns Jennings, was born September 24, 1955 in Davenport, Iowa. She departed this life peacefully and surrounded by her family in her home in Camdenton, Missouri on May 25, 2023 at the age of sixty-seven years, eight months and one day.
On February 19, 2001 she was united in marriage to Gary W. Zuroweste. Together they shared a little over twenty-two years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Danny Jennings.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Zuroweste of the home; five daughters, Heather Schnebly & husband Curt, Holly Miller, Christina Jennings-Self, Rachael Childers & husband Buddy, Brooke Millsaps & husband Josh; her mother, JoAnn Jennings; three sisters, Terry Van Klavern & Scott Ritchie, Denise Super, Lisa Schlottman & husband Doug; eleven grandchildren, Lillian Schnebly, Dylan Schnebly, Kyle Miller, Kale Miller, Jacoby Miller, Savannah Davis, Christian Self, Lain Self, Dakotah Zuroweste, Asher Millsaps, and Cale Childers; five great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Sheilah was raised in Colona, Illinois. She attended Union Township High School in East Moline, Illinois before moving to the lake area. Sheilah loved people and that quality is what made her working life such a success. Through the years she was the head waitress at the Outside Inn, Co-owner of the Grapevine Restaurant & Bar, a dental assistant at Crown Dental as well as a server at CJ’s Restaurant for many years.
Sheilah made a profession of faith and was a member of the Myetta Southern Missionary Baptist Church in Camdenton, Missouri.
In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, floating, spending time in her flower garden, crocheting and painting various things. On beautiful summer days you could always find her floating the waves and soaking up the sun.
She was a loving and a caring wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Myetta Cemetery, in Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., Monday, May 29, 2023 in the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at or mailed to the funeral home at 15 Clint Ave Camdenton, Missouri 65020.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
