THEDA THOMPSON Theda Maurice Thompson, daughter of Estel Eli and Nettie Livingston Morgan, was born, July 30, 1920 in Roach, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, September 4, 2014, in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-four years, one month and five days. On March 9, 1942 in Seymour, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Burval August Thompson and to this union three children were born. Together they shared forty-eight years of marriage until his passing on October 5, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Mac Morgan and Harlan Morgan. Survivors include her children, Sandra Weaver and husband Ken of Fayette, Missouri, Tommy Thompson and wife Becky of Camdenton, Missouri and Brenda Thompson of Camdenton, Missouri; five grandchildren, James D. Goode and Robert T. Goode both of Camdenton, Missouri, Casey Morris and husband Jeff of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Devon Thompson and Megan Whitledge both of Dallas, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Ward and husband Trevor of Washburn, Missouri, Dylan Goode of Camdenton, Missouri and Abby and Caleb Morris both of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a great-great-grandson, Conner Robert Ward; a brother, Jack Morgan of Lee's Summit, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Theda was raised in the Roach and Ha Ha Tonka areas of Camden County. She attended Camdenton High School where she played basketball and met Burval Thompson. She was a life-long resident of Camden County and loved being a stay at home mom and wife. Taking care of her children brought her joy. Theda made a profession of faith and was a member of Community Christian Church in Camdenton. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching college basketball on television. In her earlier years, she was an avid gardener. Most of all, she loved time spent with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2014 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:00 p.m., Friday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Community Christian Church and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
