VIOLA RADCLIFF Viola Victoria Radcliff, daughter of Arthur Lester and Mary Viola Gorman Mitchell, was born at her home, August 12, 1941 in St. James, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, September 30, 2011, in her sister's home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy years, one month and eighteen days. On May 14, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Donald Dean Radcliff and to this union one daughter was born. Together they shared forty-five years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arthur Eugene Mitchell. Survivors include her husband, Donald Radcliff of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; two daughters, Crystal Radcliff and Christine Eiskant and husband Jim all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Sara Lacy and Tabitha Eiskant; a great-granddaughter, Addison; two sisters, Mary Ellen Taber of St. James, Missouri and Peggy Britt and husband Russell of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Viola was raised in St. James, Missouri. She attended Cosmetology School and moved to St. Louis working as a beautician in a beauty shop called Sticks, later opening her own beauty shop, "Vi's Hair Salon" in Cuba, MO. She then moved to Oklahoma City where she lived for many years working for a CPA firm as a bookkeeper while her and Don owned Don Radcliff Construction Company and enjoying her most important mission in life; being a mom. She and Don then followed their dreams to build their retirement home and retire on the Lake of the Ozarks. Always staying busy, in her "retirement" she became a successful Realtor. She enjoyed life to the fullest and found great joy in helping others and making new friends. She was a member of the Missouri Association of Realtors. Viola was baptized in the Christian Church, St. James, Missouri as a teenager. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, making all kinds of crafts, sewing, taking care of her "Donnie" and her cats. She really loved the outdoors, working in the yard, tending to her plants and building on her infamous rock wall. She was a big fan of American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. She was a vibrant, patient friend to all with her positive attitude and with a strong determination. Some teased her as being a "Superwoman". She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for others was always most important to her. She will be greatly missed and we loved her dearly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her many accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A private family service will be held in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
