William Earl Wroda, Sr., son of Peter and Mary Hrejsa Wroda, was born, June 18, 1938 in Middletown, Ohio. He departed this life, Saturday, December 29, 2007 in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of sixty-nine years, six months and eleven days. On July 2, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Bernice Carmella Sadowski and to this union seven children were born. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Wroda; his step-father and mother, Robert and Mary Hrejsa; a son, William Earl Wroda, Jr. and two brothers, Louis and Phillip Wroda. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-years, Bernice C. Wroda of the home; six children, Jennie B. Coleman of Camdenton, Missouri, Vincent Wroda and wife Barbara of Wauconda, Illinois, Ernest Wroda and Carol and Roger Wroda and wife Jennifer all of Chicago, Illinois, Keith Wroda and son Philip of Oak Forrest, Illinois and Kimberly A. Licardie and husband Osmar of St. John, Missouri; four brothers, Richard Wroda and wife Betty of Lakeland, Florida, Bobby Wroda and wife Dee of Mound, Minnesota, Jerry Wroda and wife Carol of Kissimmee, Florida and Matthew Wroda of Lakeland, Florida; twenty-two grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. William was raised in Middletown, Ohio and attended school at James Ottis in Chicago, Illinois. After his marriage to Bernice, they made their home in Chicago where he worked as a carpenter for the city of Chicago. After moving to Camdenton, Missouri, he worked for Glencove Marina. In spare time he enjoyed building things especially model boats such as the cuttysark. He loved anything to do with carpentry, plumbing and electrical. He also enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening and scratcher tickets. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. William was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. The memories he created for his family and friends will be cherished forever and we celebrate his life and accomplishments. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2008 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, in the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
