Alex Johnette Kuhn, 27, of Linn Creek, Missouri passed away August 8, 2026.

Alex Johnette Kuhn. Let us remember her name and her life. Let us recall a dear friend, a daughter, an amazing wife and a loving mother. Today we each begin to make peace with her loss by honoring her memory.

To so many of us in her life, Alex was a spirit unlike any other. Especially to her husband, Cody. For many years, she was his balance and his peace. Where Cody brought stability, support and strength to their relationship, Alex brought kindness, joy, and a gentle nature. Her light, and the warmth with which she filled their home with will be missed — immeasurably.

To her friends she was effortlessly genuine, hilarious, and had a gravity within her being that attracted everyone to her. You couldn’t resist her smile and no one was immune to her contagious laughter. Alex’s friends remember that she was a great artist and extremely creative in many of her hobbies, such as painting, wood burning, and baking. Some of her pieces have been displayed here today for us all to see.

To her two children, Owen and Callan, Alex was, in every sense of the word, home. They admired her beauty, inside and out — her unwavering love, and her quiet resolve. She spent countless days nurturing their curiosity and interest in adventure. Every day she spent with them, she poured so much of herself into their hearts. They will carry her love and her hopes for them always, in their memories and love for her.

Without her, we are all diminished. But we must find hope in the belief that Alex would have wanted us to cherish the time we did have with her, though we wish it had been everlasting. It’s not our place to wield the levers of fate. But had any one of us here today been able to save the girl, the woman, the friend, the mother, the daughter, and the unique soul that she was, we would have sacrificed greatly to do so. It is our hope that Alex can, in some way — feel these words. It is our hope, Alex, that it gives you peace and comfort to know, truly, how loved you were. And it is the belief of your friends and family that you are now in Heaven, watching over us.
