With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Bobby Joe Massa at the age of 93, on September 9, 2023, in Osage Beach, Missouri.


Born on August 25, 1930, in Kennett, Missouri, Bobby was the cherished child of Joe and Ethel Massa. Together, they ran a small grocery store in St. Louis before embarking on their well-deserved retirement. In the spring of 1951, Bobby answered the call to duty and enlisted in the Army, serving with honor until the summer of 1954. During his military service, he valiantly fought in the Korean War, earning an honorable discharge. Following his military service, Bobby dedicated over 30 years of his life to Warrenton Steel, contributing to his community until he retired.


Bobby shared 59 loving years of marriage with his devoted wife, Betty Massa. Together, they cultivated a life enriched by love and embarked on countless adventures.


Bobby was a loving parent to Gloria Hudson, Linda Hudson, Bobbie Massa, Peggy Massa, Sammy Massa, and Brenda Coffman. He was also a beloved grandparent to 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Bobby was a devoted sibling to his brothers Sammy Massa and Billy Massa, and his sisters Jane Massa, Gene Massa, Joan Massa, Mary Massa, and Emily Massa. He is survived by his loving wife Betty, children Linda, Bobbie, Peggy, Sammy, Brenda, and sisters Joan and Emily, along with many cherished grandchildren.


Bobby is now reunited in eternal peace with his parents, Joe and Ethel Massa, his daughter Gloria his, siblings Sammy, Billy, Jane, Gene, and Mary, as well as his great-grandchild, Kastiel.


Bobby was known for his unique personality, quick wit, and keen sense of humor. His passion for collecting extended to everything, from aluminum cans to any treasure he could turn into a dollar.


Those who had the privilege of knowing Bobby will forever remember his one-of-a-kind personality, his infectious sense of humor, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
