Bonnie Sue Selby

Bonnie Sue Selby, daughter of William Aubrey and Frances Elizabeth Porter Avery, was born July 6, 1937, in Moberly, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, July 7, 2017 in her daughter’s home, Linn Creek, Missouri, at the age of eighty years and one day. On August 18, 1958, Bonnie was united in marriage to Duane Bernard Selby, and to this union three children were born. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; her parents; and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Delane Selby, of Linn Creek, Missouri, Yvonne Leah Selby, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Dana Lynn Gardner and husband, Paul, J., of Linn Creek, Missouri; her grandchildren, Wade Aubrey Stout, Kyle Robert Stout, Paul T. Gardner, and Autumn Jade Selby; a great-grandson, Savaun Joseph Stout, and a greatly anticipated great-granddaughter, Fynlee Clark; as well as a number of other relatives and many dear friends. Bonnie was born in Moberly and was a graduate of Fayette High School, and also attended the University of Missouri. In 1958, Bonnie and Duane moved to Camdenton and there they raised their family. Bonnie spent her career in the University of Missouri Extension in Camdenton, and proudly served the community for over forty years. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Camdenton Community Christian Church for many years. Bonnie had an infectious laugh that brought a smile to everyone’s face. She never met a stranger, and was loved by all that knew her. In her spare time, Bonnie enjoyed playing bridge and bingo, and especially cherished the many fall trips she took with her girls. Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and many accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Funeral services for Bonnie Selby will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Hugo Cemetery. Memorial donation may be made to the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
