Brenda Kaye Foster, daughter of James Wilton and Frances Willard (Ballinger) Foster, was born July 18, 1955 in Benton County, Tennessee. She departed this life, after a courageous cancer battle, Friday, May 2, 2025 at Lake Regional Hospital, at the age of sixty-nine years, nine months and fourteen days.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, James Wilton Foster; a brother Dennis Foster; and two sisters, Ruth and Rita Foster.

She is survived by her beloved life partner, Edward W. “Rusty” Mehl; her daughter, Jennifer Elaine Schraeder and husband Brandon of Reichenbach Steegan, Germany; her grandchildren, Kayle, Koryna and Connor Schraeder of Lompoc, California; her mother, Francis Willard Foster, of St. Louis, Missouri; and two sisters, Norma Jean Taylor and husband Michael of Arnold, Missouri and Carol Lynn McDale of Pevely, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.

Brenda grew up in South St. Louis and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area in the 1980’s to make her home. She owned and operated Crystal-Clear Cleaning for several years. Brenda was also Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid.

She was affiliated with the 7th Day Adventist Church, and was inspired by the writings of Ellen G. White.

In her younger years, she was an active volunteer with Boys Town and had obtained her Real Estate License. She later worked in the mail room at the United States Postal Service.

In her spare time, Brenda enjoyed music, gardening and crafting and was a loving homemaker to her family. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent with her friends and family.

Brenda was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
