CAROLYN OSHEL Carolyn Louise Oshel, daughter of Lloyd Kermit and Lorena Pearl Strickland Klamm, was born, December 24, 1941 in Edgerton, Kansas. She departed this life, Sunday, June 28, 2015, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-three years, six months and four days. She is survived by her children, Tim Oshel and friend Michelle Watkins of Republic, Missouri, Brenda Weir and husband Ken of Camdenton, Missouri, Bart Oshel and wife Annie of Camdenton, Missouri, Teresa Oshel of Eldon, Missouri and Holly Oshel of Camdenton, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Eric Oshel, Jennifer Oshel, Brittany Oshel, Kary Miller, Kira Miller, Austin Oshel, Sammi Oshel, Sherri Oshel, Julie Oshel and Karl Oshel; a great-grandson, Oliver Oshel; two sisters, Mary Pritchard of Edgerton, Kansas and Evelyn Summers of Olathe, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Maxine Klamm of DeSoto, Kansas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl Klamm and two brothers-in-law, Dale Pritchard and Bill Summers. Carolyn was raised in the Edgerton and Garner areas of Kansas and was a graduate of Edgerton High School. She moved to Camden County in 1970. She began working at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital which later became Lake Regional Hospital. She was the thirteenth employee hired there and retired in October of 2014 after thirty –six years of service. Carolyn loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Time spent with her family was precious to her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She touched many lives and her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Laughlin Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
