Corine Boone

Corine Neve Boone, daughter of Jess and Lucille Spruell, was born February 16, 1935 in Clayton, Oklahoma. She departed this life Friday, May 27, 2016, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, three months, and eleven days. On November 7, 1954, Corine was united in marriage to James Boone, and together they shared sixty-three years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jess Spruell, Jr.; and two sisters, Willemina and Nellie. Corine is survived by her husband, James, of the home; and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Myers and Ruth Collins. Corine was born in Oklahoma and moved to Kansas City at the age of eight. She graduated from cosmetology school at the age of fourteen and owned and operated her own beauty shop before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1964. She continued to work as a cosmetologist in the Lake area for many years until her retirement. She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Sunrise Beach First Baptist Church for many years. Corine loved animals of all kinds, and raised chinchillas for several years. She was known as a hard worker and was a great friend. Corine was an avid Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals fan and watched games whenever possible. In her spare time she loved going fishing with Jim and working in her flower garden. Corine was a loving wife and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.
