David was preceded in passing by his parents.

David was born in Pratt, Kansas and at an early age, the family moved to Mansfield, Missouri, where he would attend and later graduate from high school. Following his graduation, he began his career in law enforcement, where he would proudly serve with Wright County Sheriff’s Department, a trooper for the Missouri Highway Patrol, Camden County Sheriff’s Department, Chief of Police for Iberia and periodically would serve in St. Louis as a member of the drug enforcement task force.
Following his time in law enforcement, he would work for Racine, later to be known as Modine in Camdenton, Missouri.
On January 29, 1999, in Murray, Kentucky, David was united in marriage to Mitzi Coles and together they would share the last twenty-seven years of marriage.
He made a profession of Christian faith and was a member of the Freedom Church of Christ.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, white tail deer hunting, mowing yards, tending to his flower garden that he would grow every spring, and absolutely loved spending time with his dog, Duke.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2026 in Freedom Church of Christ, Montreal, Missouri. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m., in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
