DOUG HIMES Douglas Brian Himes, son of Donald Lawrence and Carolyn Marie Behler Himes, was born, January 25, 1961 in Lafayette, Indiana. He departed this life, Friday, January 04, 2013, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of fifty-one years, eleven months and ten days. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Carolyn Himes of Edwards, Missouri; a sister, Kelly Gowins of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Stephen Himes of Climax Springs, Missouri and David Himes and wife Laurie of Glendale City, Arizona; six nieces and nephews, Matt Knox, Cassey Knox, Nichole Clund, Amanda Himes, Jessie Corrender and Daniel Himes and other relatives and many friends. Douglas was raised in Lafayette, Indiana and was a graduate of Jefferson High School. He and his family moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1979. He worked for a time doing construction and building and has been a Chef at Vista Grande Restaurant in Osage Beach for the past twenty-eight years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed whenever time allowed. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2013 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Friday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
