DWIGHT SCOTT Dwight Herbert Christian Keith Scott, son of Bert Rorick and Vivian Ruth Keith Scott, was born, October 11, 1952 in Catalina Island, California. He departed this life, Thursday, September 30, 2010, in his home, Cross Timbers, Missouri at the age of fifty-seven years, eleven months and nineteen days. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dwight Scott II. Survivors include his sons, Andy Scott and wife Amanda of Olympia, New York and Tom Scott of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kayla, Matthew and Johanna Scott; a sister, Pam Kroske of Cross Timbers, Missouri; a brother, Bert Scott and wife Su of Climax Springs, Missouri; the mother of his sons, Kimberly Scott of Linn Creek, Missouri and other relatives and many friends. Dwight or "Glassman" as he was know was raised in California and lived there until the age of fourteen. He then moved to Guilderland, New York where he graduated from Guilderland Central High School in the class of 1972. He served his country in the United States Navy and after being discharged, he moved to the Climax Springs area. Most of his adult life was spent in Osage Beach. He was a talented glass blower. He studied glass blowing under Master Craftsman William Burns and worked with him for several years. Glassman enjoyed all types of music. He was talented in playing the guitar, spoons, harmonica and trumpet. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Walk on the Water Church, Osage Beach. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., Thursday in the church. Private burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens, Osage Beach. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
