EDRIE PARISH Edrie Mae Parish, daughter of Alpha and Ethel Kissinger DeBerry, was born, October 4, 1928 in Stoutland, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, April 30, 2009 in Richland Care Center, Richland, Missouri at the age of eighty years, six months and twenty-six days. On April 24, 1952 in Stoutland, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Benjamin Harrison "Ben" Parish and to this union one son was born. Together they shared the past fifty-seven years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth DeBerry. Survivors include her husband, Ben Parish of the home; a son, Doug Parish and wife Nancy of Camdenton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Benjamin Parish and Bailey Parish both of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother, Louie DeBerry and wife Pearl of Springfield, Missouri; a special caretaker, Connie Ahnen and many other relatives and friends. Edrie was raised in Stoutland, Missouri and graduated from high school there. After high school, she worked at a shoe factory in Richland for a short time. She later graduated from Beauty College in Lebanon and was a hair dresser. After she married Ben, they settled on a farm and she helped on the farm as well as being a devoted mother and homemaker. She made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Union Southern Baptist Church where her father had preached. She later transferred her membership to Linn Creek Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing and quilting. In her later years, she enjoyed painting with a group of lady friends. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Edrie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed and will live in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Garrison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.
