It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward Charles Emerson, born December 26, 1957, who died on September 12, 2026, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. He departed this life at 68 years, eight months, and 17 days.

Edward dedicated his life to his son, Dustin Emerson, spending his later years ensuring his well-being and needs would be met. A devoted father, brother, and friend, Edward’s greatest joy was his time with Dustin. Together they shared countless moments—playing basketball, listening to music, visiting arcades, and making special stops for frozen custard at Andy’s.

Edward loved the outdoors and time with family, especially target shooting, fishing, and attending performances by local bands with Dustin throughout the lake area he so dearly enjoyed. Edward worked hard throughout his life, holding roles that reflected his dedication and versatility—at radio station 92.7, as a sales representative at the Grand Glaize Regalia Resort, and working on barges along the Mississippi River. Wherever he was, Edward formed lasting friendships and connections; his easy companionship and steady presence will be remembered by the many friends and acquaintances he made throughout the community.

Edward is survived by his beloved son, Dustin Charles Emerson; and his brothers, John Emerson, Tom Emerson, and Robert Emerson. He was preceded in death by his father, William Emerson; his mother, Shirley Brown Emerson; and his sister, Carla Scott.

A memorial service will be held at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri, on September 24, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help cover expenses. Edward’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, in the laughter he shared, and in the simple joys he passed down to his son. He will be deeply missed.
