Edward Ray Williams, 72, of Sunrise Beach, MO, left us on November 15, 2021. He was born on February 28, 1949 to Lila Joan Goyer Williams and Eddie Ray Williams. He was born in Lovington, New Mexico while his father was stationed nearby before being deployed to Korea. Ed followed in his father’s military footsteps by joining the Marines.

He loved his family dearly and always made it known by being the family prankster. Everyone appreciated his sense of humor, almost as much as his never-ending loyalty and support. His impact was not only felt by family, but also by anyone who crossed his path because he always had valuable words of wisdom and a wealth of knowledge to share, or some hilarious story about his antics.

He has left a big job to fill as he was our rock and foundation. He will be incredibly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed playing pool and was very good at it. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and shared those passions with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and got his first motorbike (a Honda) when he was a teenager.

He was a heavy equipment operator most of his life and had a reputation as being one of the best operators in the company he worked for in Texas and then in the Lake of the Ozarks region.

He was predeceased by his loving wife and light of his life Pamela Williams, his grandson Dalton Talbot, his parents, his maternal grandparents Lois Bottom Goyer and Orval Goyer, his paternal grandparents Ora Wood Williams Lane and Hubert Williams, his brother Mark Bushno, and his sister Rose Bushno.

He was survived by his daughter Jennifer Williams Van Houten, his son Shane Williams, his grandchildren Ashley Frye, Kyra Kaszyk, Angel Williams, Nick Williams, Katelyn Tarbill, Sierra Williams, fifteen great grandchildren, and his siblings Sherra Irving (in Arkansas) and her fiancé Christopher Patt, John Bushno (in Illinois) and his fiancée Becky, Lori Deanne Fleming (in Illinois), Elizabeth Kay Bushno (in Illinois), and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
