Freddie Shipman, son of the late Earl “Dink” & Helen Ruth (Blankenship) Shipman, was born on April 21, 1945 and departed this life on May 28, 2023. At the time of his passing, Freddie was seventy-eight years, one month and seven days of age.
Freddie was preceded in passing by his parents; three brothers, twin brother Eddie Shipman, Butch Shipman and Bill Shipman; one sister, Bonnie Sue Kuhn; grandson, Joshua Johnson; and his daughter, Lora Lynn Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Shipman; four sons, JoDale & wife Dawn Shipman of Linn Creek, Missouri, Corb & wife Rachelle Sousley of Camdenton, Missouri, Jerry & wife Dana Sousley of West Plains, Missouri, and Freddie Jr. & wife Tammi Shipman of Linn Creek, Missouri; two daughters, Lee Ann Shipman of Ft. Myers, Florida and Kim & husband Mark Stonitsch of Ft. Myers, Florida; two sisters, Linda & husband Danny Starr of Camdenton, Missouri and Ellen & husband Rick Bradley of Montreal, Missouri; sister-in-law, Cheryl Shipman of Linn Creek, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends and other family who will all truly miss him.
Freddie was born in Montreal and raised in Linn Creek, Missouri. He spent his entire life in Linn Creek, Missouri where he was a local truck driver, heavy equipment operator and farmer. On June 26, 1968, he was united in marriage to Peggy Harper and together they shared fifty-five years of marriage.
Freddie made a profession of faith and was a member of Camdenton Bible Baptist Church.
In his spare time, he loved to spend time with his horses, his family and enjoyed Peggy’s cooking. He spent time, team roping, breaking and shoeing horses and being known as a horseman.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Bill Moore for his lifelong loyalty and friendship. Not a day goes by that the family does not thank God for Jim High and Don DeFoy for sharing the Gospel with Fred.
