Gary tried his hand at many endeavors through the years. One of his big dreams as a young man, was to be an actor. While living in Los Angeles, California with wife and kids in tow, he pursued acting and told stories of meeting many famous people and acted in several plays. In 1995 Gary moved his family to Macks Creek Missouri where he then decided to start a hobby farm. He purchased forty acres and tried his hand at riding and caring for horses, he loved horses. He even tried his hand at raising a few pigs, that was an experience for the whole family. However, Gary by trade was a finish carpenter. While in Missouri he owned a cabinet shop where he sold and installed custom cabinets. He later moved to Guymon Oklahoma, where he lived near one of his brothers and worked in factories and doing some finish carpentry on the side.

Gary had a passion for entertainment and adventure. He also loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors. His favorite hobby however, was music. He loved music of all kinds from gospel to classic rock. Whenever he could he would pull out his guitar or harmonica and jam with whomever was willing. He also enjoyed his daughters singing and playing music with him, these are moments he treasured the most. If there was music he was smiling. Gary had an intensity and eagerness for life. Getting in a conversation with him never left you quite the same.

Gary was a loving father and friend. He knew Jesus, and always wanted to make sure his family and anyone around him knew Jesus as well. He wanted to always spread the love of Jesus Christ. He was saved and will be welcomed into the gates of heaven by Jesus and his daughter. Gary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
