Gerald “Jerry” Franklin

Gerald “Jerry” Franklin of Linn Creek, Missouri, passed away peacefully in Lebanon, Missouri, on September 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 84 years old.
Jerry was born on August 18, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Noah and Jane Franklin. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. On August 18, 1962, he married the love of his life, Connie Englert. Together they shared nearly 63 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories until Connie’s passing in July 2025.
Jerry was a devoted husband and father, a proud grandpa and great-grandpa—fondly known as “Cookie-Pa”—and a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Jane Franklin; his sister, Debbie Franklin; his brother, Ron Franklin and his beloved wife, Connie.
Jerry is survived by his children, Michael (Shawna) Franklin of Koshkonong, MO, and Jennifer (Tim) Campbell of Linn Creek, MO; his grandchildren, Cody (Jillianne) Campbell of Nixa, MO, and Austin Campbell of Ozark, MO; and his great-grandchildren, Ben and Mia Campbell of Nixa, MO. He is also survived by his sister, Norma Franklin; brothers, Jack (Victoria) Franklin, and Dan Franklin; and his in-laws, Ginny (Steve) O’Neal, Steve (Stephanie) Englert, Ed (Terry) Englert, Ken Englert (and his late wife Sue), Scott (Pat) Englert, and Kathleen Englert (and her late husband Tom), along with many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and hospice team who provided Jerry with such compassionate care.
Jerry’s unconditional care love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family will remain in our hearts forever.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
