She attended Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis, where she began building the foundation of the remarkable life she would lead.
On October 17, 1948, Gladys married the love of her life, Charles R. Lepper. Together, they built not only a family but also a life full of dedication and shared dreams. They raised three children-Coleen Ann Bohmer, Karen Verna Lynch, and Kevin Patrick Lepper-and made

In later years, she and Charles relocated to Seminole, Florida, where she found joy in simple pleasures-especially evening walks along the beach, a time of peace she cherished deeply.
Following Charles's passing, Gladys moved to Hartland, Wisconsin, where she worked at Walmart for 20 years, becoming a friendly and familiar face to countless customers and coworkers. After her retirement, she settled in Camdenton, Missouri, where she spent her final years surrounded by loved ones.
