Gwendolyn Maurine 'Gwen' Lovgren

GWEN LOVGREN Gwendolyn Maurine Lovgren, daughter of Charles Lawton and Wylladene Helen Onion Crowley, was born, August 16, 1931 in Soldier, Kansas. She departed this life, Monday, June 8, 2015, in Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-three years, nine months and twenty-three days. On December 31, 1950 in Topeka, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Noble Oscar Lovgren and to this union two children were born. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last December. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Noble Lovgren of Camdenton, Missouri; a son, Charles Lovgren and wife Patty of Wichita, Kansas; a daughter, Debbie Blume and husband Robert of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two grandsons, Jeff Lovgren and wife Jennifer of Wichita, Kansas and Andy Blume and wife Andrea of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a great-granddaughter, Ava Blume; a sister, Marilyn Miley of Plainfield, Illinois and a host of other relatives and many friends. Gwen was a twenty-year plus employee of Southwestern Bell in Wichita, Kansas. She retired in 1975 and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. She worked for more than thirty years at Cellular Connections in Camdenton and retired there in May of 2014 In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts, especially crocheting and needle work. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. Most of all, time spent with family and friends brought her joy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Kansas. Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
